#1 thing that comes to mind is its another reason I'll never buy GM again.

They're making their bed like they've made it the past decade and the death of GM should come from it.

They're not worth "saving"

GM selling China cars is just wrong. Although I doubt that the current quality of GM will be affected since they put out junk as far as I am concerned. My 12007 Silverado is a POS as compared with the ones I owned in 1996, 1999, 2001 and 2003. GM has been an American as apple pie and now this??? I guess China will indeed own us and who saw it coming? Perhaps GM will have a booth at Walmart

I'm guessingthis will go over like alead balloon considering the Chinese reputation for product quality. GM is really shooting themselves in the foot this time, this decision will probably take them out, and they deserve it.

As long as competetively priced, high quality cars are sold, I don't care where they are from or who sells them. If GM wants to become competitive, let's see it! I will not buy an inferior product for more money simply because some union worker got another big raise a few months ago and has a lavish retirement plan.

Unions arent the enemy.

Foriegn automakers sunk GM...there is too much competition for 10 huge companys to make a living selling the same thing...so a few have to sink...(its too bad it has to be the company that pays its employees a good enuff wage that your wife can stay at home and raise the kids and the one that can afford a college education for them..

we live in an era where its cool to buy things from ***an and korea....30 years ago noone drove a honda....weve let foriegn companys take over the auto industry in our own country....they dont even sell american cars in ***an....why should we sell ***anese cars??????

GM executives making the decisions, and the ballooned price on healthcare for employees are theproblems that sunk the companyas well....not justthe unions like you seem to think... GM has had union labor for along time and theyve always done well untill now...and now thatthey arent doing well....you want to point your finger at Unions?????

we might as well call are selves the United States of China...our country is becoming more like theres as the Middle class gets phased out of society....

You bring up a good point. We gave them bailout money that was borrowed from China, so I guess they do owe China.

The US governmemt to the tune of billions. Reminds me of one of our last financial recessions when ***an was strong and bought most of Manhatten, San Fran and Hawaii. If their economy hadn't tanked we would be eating *** chow every week whether we liked it or not. I always figured it took the 50 years to rebound from the beating we gave them but they have long memories and are patient. Their cash flow just didn't keep up and they lost it all.[:@]
