Not a good investment stealthy. Short term you might be able to sell at a profit but over the long run it has more risk than your stock pics. If you are targeting black market selling better switch to drugs...it is an established business for somewith more profit and the penalty is probably less than messing with ATF. This is a segway for a VC comment on your investment strategy. Vince you out there?

I sincerely doubt that the current shortage will last 5 years, the nervous nellies will probably calm down within a few more months.
I am banking on you being right. I have not bougth ammo in a long time. I bougth some 30-06 shells this last summer, just because I was out of powder and wanted some around just in case. I really need some 45 acps, but have been holding out until the scare goes by. I hope I didnt hold out too long. If so, ill just keep bow hunting. My only concern is that my wife and kids wont have any shells to target shoot with.

I just might do that. I appreciate it. Actually I have a buddy, at Cheaper than Dirt, that is going to hold me a few boxes and bring them down when he comes to visit. He tells me, he has back orders on most all ammo. People are banking up. He said buisness is great.

$2,000 ?
$3,000 ?
.22.s will not bring as much as the common pistol ammo (9mm, .40, .45ACP). IMHO, if you didn't already stock up, your profit margin has shrunk considerably. I bought a mess of .223 and 7.62x39 just before the election, when the outcome was beginning to become obvious. I made a nice bit from that just selling to people I know. I did keep some 7.62 for shooting out of my son's Rossi single shot. I started buying Federal .30'06 from wallyworld at $13 a box too, but they aren't for sale. Now they don't have any in stock. The .22's might be more valuable for providing food if the economy gets much worse.
