Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

A trillion dollar bail out thats expected to go into the 2-3 trillion range
3.4 trillion budget passed
$380,000 photo shoot
1.5 billion to fight swine flu

I mean its almost every day .... I don't ever remember anything like this and what I don't get? We don't have a surplus ...... how is this money being generated/spent?

It's all ok. Obama and the Dems can do whatever they wish. It will all work itself out in the end.

Good questions. Scary. A problem is that the system of checks and balances is really not happening. The Democrats have control of the whole ship of state -- excepting the judiciary, but that is a relatively slow brake, particularly on such things as spending -- and the main stream media definitely isn't calling them to task on it.

I ask myself what I can do. The only think I can do is vote. I always vote straight ticket republican. When the democratic party is no longer associated with (1) anti-gun legislation; (2) TaxNSpend; and (3) weak on security, then I'll re-evaluate that position. I don't see that day in sight at present. I do share my thoughts with some others, but that is it.

My hope is that the idiocy of these changes will ultimately result in the body politic perceiving that the emperor has no clothes -- perceiving the obvious.

What's the point? Why not take back the Republican party from the moderates? Why try to set out on your own and create a new party when there is a strong conservative base with in the Republican party?

To do this, the first step is to close the primaries to party only voters. There is absolutely no reason an independent should be allowed to vote in the primary. They have choosen to be independent and can field their own candidate. Both the Dems and Republican deserve to put forth their own candidate with out anyone else in the process.

It's a red state vs. blue state thing.
Knee jerks are sometimes excessive.
Pendulums always swing the other way once they have reached the full extent of their travel.
Just takes a while.
