I find it funny how Obama thinks that "green" technology will create new jobs. When you develop it and start constructing power stations, it will create jobs, but what happens when everything is all done? No more major research is needed and wind plants don't need constant work like coal plants do.

Matter of factUS oil companies have idled their drilling rigs in an attempt to get the price of oil up. Supply and demand at work here.Idle enough drilling rigs, oil will getscarce and the price will go up.Today i took a drive in oil country to look at a piece of real estate. Passed 9 drill rigs. All were shut down. There are 852 fewer drilling rigs operating in the US than there were one year ago. 30 drilling rigs were shut down during the week 11-17 April, 09.

The libtards are in control(for now), libtards are generally green freaks, and as long as they can drive up the price of petro and coal based energy their pet pipe dreams have a chance to get more funding and research. If there really was money to be had in green energy the market would already be pursuing it, but that would take longer than the green wienies want to wait, so they impede drilling in hopes of making petro energy so costly that pipe dreams begin to sound feasible. Obama himself said so in more than one national address, the evidence is right on YouTube. The problem is that our technology is almost exclusively carbon based due to it's least cost status, which cannot be changed overnight no matter how much the greenies think it can since it would invariably crash the entire world economy in the process. Add to that the fact that the technology to replace carbon simply doesn't exist on a level that could replace carbon in such a short time frame, and it would invariably cost vastl ymore anyway. Money drives technology, and there's just not enough of it in being green to make anyone want it except for the pie eyed tofu chompers.
