The nobel peace prize is pure politics now. If you champion any political issue in the favor of the Nobel committee, you will win.

Gore did NOTHING to earn the prize. Even if you believe Global Warming, he still did nothing except give other peoples research and beliefs publicity.

Al Gore invented the internet? Another lie, the internet started out as arpanet, the network to link command and control to the missile silo's to ensure a remote launch capability in the event that all other communications were disabled and was in place in the 70's. After the SALT treaties and the decommissioning of the silo's then it evolved into the internet.
