Default scam email?

From: Sgt. Eric Richardson Frawley

Email: sgt.rawley2002@gmail.com

Good day,

My name is Sgt. Eric Richardson Frawley, I am an American soldier, I am serving in the military of the 1st Armored Division in Iraq , as you know we are being attacked by insurgents everyday and car bombs. We managed to move funds belonging to Saddam Hussein's family in 2003. The total amount is US$25 Million dollars in cash, mostly 100 dollar bills, this money has been kept somewhere outside Baghdad for sometime but with the proposed troop reduction by president Obama, we are afraid that the money will be discovered hence we want to move this money to you for safe keeping pending the completion of our assignment here. You can go to this web link to read about events that took place then via this site:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2988455.stm

We are ready to compensate you with good percentage of the funds, No strings attached, just for you to help us move it out of Iraq . Iraq is a war zone, so we plan on using diplomatic means in shipping the money out as military cargo using diplomatic immunity. If you are interested I will send you the full details, my job is to find a good partner that we can trust and that will assist us. Can I trust you? When you receive this letter, kindly send an e-mail to this Email: sgt.rawley2002@gmail.com signifying your interest including your most confidential telephone numbers for quick communication also your contact details. This is risk free.

With regards from,

Sgt. Eric Richardson Frawley

.........Anyone else get these?

I would forward that email to army CID at crimetips@conus.army.mil.
I had one very similar to that come from a supposed marine, I forwarded the email to NCIS.

I have gotten 2 of these. I didn't know what to do with them but I didn't think it was an actual serviceman I think that they said that hoping that I would trust them because it was from someone in the service. But this one says gmail and the ones I got were for yahoo. I always check the adress to see where it comes from. My brother has both a gmail and a yahoo account and I don't he uses the gmail one anymore.

So either you have someone who is being dishonest, from the service
Or you have someone using his account?

Yup I fell for it and yesterday got a box in the mail with 15 pounds of 100 dollar bills. I think I'll go out for some fast food to celebrate.

LOL

Darn it I do not get any of them because of my spam blocker keeps that stuff all away from. It helps to keep me safe from some warped mind trying to get me to dig into my pockets..

Me too my spam blocker works pretty well. Fast food ....that is funny since we don't have any place to buy it here on the island. I did get some on the recent road trip to Colorado though. Made me realize what I have been missing.....nothing.
