Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Funny How Things Change

Two years ago, this site was full of posts about how all was lost in Iraq. Now you have to look long and hard to even find posts on Iraq and none of them talk about the sky falling there.

Last year, gas was 4 bucks a gallon and people were saying it was gonna hit 5 bucks. Tonite I will be tanking up for about $1.85 a gallon.

Two years ago, if someone would have told me that we would elect a black guy with a Muslim name as president, I would have asked for a shot of whatever you are drinking. Now we have President Barack Hussein Obama.

5 years ago if someone had told me that watching ex-NFL players doing ballroom dance would be popular I would have said you were crazy. NowDancing With the Stars is a big hit.

Yep. And, a year ago, if you told me that a person can get put on a terrorist watch list because he's a Christian, anti-abortion, pro-gun, anti-big government, veteran in favor of enforcing our borders, I'd have said that you were crazy...

I was following and nodding with agreement, until I hit that one, and I guess I must be missin' sumthin', 'cause I ain't watched it yet! I'd rather watch a hunting show that took place with in the confines of a fence before I watch ballroom dancin', and I don't even like to watch hunts that take place within fences!

He didn't say HE watches it. Only that, for some bizarro reason, it's popular.

Lanse couche couchecan you tell me WHY any/all of that happened?

That is the true question, isn't it?

How about explaining how gas was $4.00 and diesel $5.00 ..... and now we see $1.85 gas and $2.05 diesel? Why was it ever $1 more a gallon? Why did the gap almost close to nothing?

If I was omnipotent enough to know the absolute answer to all of those questions, especially in advance, then I would be in a mansion right now with my beautiful 18 year old Thai mistress sitting in my lap typing this message for me.

Supply/demand and changes in refinery cocktails goes a long way toward explaining the difference between then and now and the relative difference between the price of gas and diesel.

AND did I say he watched it? Nope, don't think I did!!

Speaking of gas and deisel prices, let's here some thoughts on when we will again see $4./+gal gas? Some time next year, about July/Aug. is my guess.

Just a few years ago, if someone would have told me that one ole bearded boy would be clamoring for the right to marry another ole bearded boy....I would have said.....you're crazy!

There are just some closet doors that should have been nailed shut.

Damn shame the turns we're taking.
