#1 more proof that organized religion is the very evil Jesus warns us about
#2 TRUST NOBODY
Why oh why did the parents allow a 10 year old girl to go about a mobile home park by herself? WHY?
Oh I dont know aobut #1....of equal weight would be to declare all TEACHERS as evil and suspect they
may be subject to pedophiliac tendencies which can go uncontrolled....I'ts just that stupid as YOUR #1.
But by all means, TRUST NOBODY.

Jesus warned about hunters?

What does religion have to do with it? Just the fact that she was a Sunday school teacher is fodder for the media but not really germane to the case.
very relevant I think - I mean, who can you trust if not the local Sunday School teacher? right?

Sounds a bit paranoid to me.
you let your 10 year old daughter walk around trailer parks by herself, not knowing where she was?

Would it have made a difference if it was an upscale housing sub division?
absolutely - there is a risk factor in everything in life, allowing your pretty 10 year old daughter to walk about a trailer park is HIGH RISK vs an upscale housing subdivision.
I lived in trailers all my life, grew up in those enviroments - they are not places well to do, highly educated, good by the Grace of God people live by and large. Sorry, the term white trash exists in a symbiant with trailer parks for a reason
RE: "She is a good, church-going girl, but she has had her challenges"
what?
its true - I never lived in a house until I was 3 years into married life ..... it was always a flimsy trailer on wheels moved from one location to another ........ I lived in a trailer park twice, I'm telling you its not easy to find good people in those places. hell that's where they found the body of Marilyn Chambers .... geeeesh.
not all trailer folks are trash- but way more than enough to justify connecting the dots I'll guarantee you that
and you know what? I was one of the poor trashy ass kids growing up - we didn't have much and got lumped into that category, I got made fun of and had my parents not been good people I'd have been the poster child for poor trashy white folks
lucky for me they WERE good people, and I chose to get out of that life

I understand there are risks in life. You can get deviant people in large houses as well as trailers. Those people can be priests, policemaen, firemen, teachers, factory workers or even Sunday School teachers. I was pretty careful with where and with whom my kids went. Since you grew up in a trailer park then you should know the people who live there. I never did so I am not as concerned with it.
