When you concider the how long this has been going on and how many companies closed up shop this does no good, does it? Just says they will recieve penalties while how many got put out of work? NAFTA doesn't work...

It's not something anyone really wants to look forward to. But, when your manufacturing base is forest products and you loose the manufacturing base it doesn't leave a lot of choices.

Also with the wording of the shutdown we loose our severance for now and no doubt will be in a big fight for it. It is something that the paper companies are doing to try and escape paying it. Currently one such company is in court and we are waiting to see what our attourney general is going to do about it..

No one ever says it would be easy but it's your only option. That I can say I'm sorry you find yourself in this position. I only encourage you to look inwards to yourself for the strength to come up with better options rather than wait around for Uncle Sam.
