Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I remember when Bush inherited a recession, and democrats criticized him early on for job losses under his watch. We've lost over 2 million since the beginning of the year, and are continuing to lose about three quarters of a million a month despite that stimulus for "immediate job creation." Funny how candidate Obama said he'd create 3 million jobs. Then he changed it to save or create. Now he can't even save them! BTW, new government jobs are only quasi jobs because they lead to higher taxes or borrowing to support them. People say to give him time, but in the 10 weeks or so he's been in office, he's already pledged or spent an amount that will double the debt of all previous presidents in 5 years, and triple it in 10. And the job losses keep mounting. More and more Americans are wondering,"yes, we can do what, speed our way into a great depression worse than the 30's?"

The man is a lawyer, and knows how to use words. By saying "I'm going to save or create 3 million jobs" he can claim success regardless of how many jobs are lost. Even if we lose 57 million jobs, he can say "If not for my programs, we would have lost 60 million jobs. I saved 3 million jobs, just as I predicted."

It's just like his "I won't take your guns away" statement. Of course "HE" won't. Some BATF flunky will do it. "I didn't take your guns away.... he did..."

Now, now fellas, give the guy a chance. He can't figure out how to do what he pledged until after he figures out that whole pesky "walking on water" and "water into wine" thing first...

I'm going to make a prediction -- and it applies more broadly than this subject at hand -- that whatever Obama does will be word smithed by his mouth pieces and the mainstream media to sound like success and accomplishment. This was the MO of the Clinton administration; I already see it in the Obama administration, with reference to the G20 summit. Stephanopolous this morning was extolling the accomplishment of Obama at the G20 meeting. I don't get it. What did he accomplish? Stephanopolous used some words such as "unity." What unity? We gave up what we went there to obtain and we accommodated ourselves to their agenda? That is deemed "unity" and that is a success? I'm not saying what would constitute a sucess for the US at the G20 summit, but I don't see ANYTHING substantive that Obama is bringing back from this, other than some well composed pictures for Michelle's "Our First G20 Summit" scrapbook.

Watch and see. Whatever happens will be spun as success and accomplishment. Democrats and the mainstream media trade in words and they knowingly decouple their words from the reality those words are supposed to characterize.

...and when all this spending fails, their response will be that we didn't do enough. They'll say "Maybe if we tripled the national debt in 5 years, it would have worked."
