Well, when catholics begin to protest at the voting booth regarding the democrat policy towards abortion, gay marriage, homosexual sex, birth control and the general condoning of amoral behavior, then they can start to criticise Newt. Until that time, they continue to cherry-pick their values as matters of convenience. The pope should just declare the USA as apostate, recall all preists, bishops, archbisops and cardinals back to rome and publicly, on the world stage, excommunicate this country for it's anti Catholic stances on so many issues, and declare there are no Catholics here. But then again, there's that collection plate thing they like so much.
And while we're at it, why would anyone from the left hold up anyone else's personal life as open for scrutiny ? I remember the BS mantra that Klinton's personal life is his own. What happened to that little convenience ? Nobody castigates Barney Frankfurter for being an openly gay man, or his little prostitute scandal. I guess now that he's dying, it's not polite to mention the fact that the Cape Cod Orca, that fat and bloated drunk from Massachussetts walked away from a half-submerged car wreck and allowed the woman pregnant with his (arguably) child to slowly drown in a car from which he could have handily extricated her. Lets not forget that one of your presidential candidates was frolicking with his personal concubine (and fathered a child with same) while his wife was suffering with cancer. And Robert KKK Byrd is just too old to review his resumee with the Ku Klux Klan so we can just wink at that one too... And finally, how can we forget the fact that the unblinking left has chosen to completely ignore the black separatist, anti-white and racist underpinnings of the the current president's 'christian' faith...and his association with old communist and anarchist terrorists is just winked at. You can't have it both ways, there, zippy, but from this vantage point, I'm gonna say that the dems are a lot more morally bankrupt than 'that other' party....

100% spot-on. Anyone the idiotic left chooses to crucify is a person they feel threatened by. Palin was a biggie...she was a woman and was powerful, an EXCELLENT choice...she had to be sacrificed on the altar of the left. After all, how can all those lefty women's groups exist, if they're gonna condone the actions of a woman of power who's coming from the RIGHT, with traditional family values and a head for business ?
Newt's always been dangerous for them. It demonstrates that their radar is off-kilter (Newt's just done...I don't believe he can be a contender....) but more importantly, it also demonstrates that ANYBODY who can even question their motives on a public forum is an enemy because questions draw focus....focus begets questions....questions beg answers...big threat there ! Just look at what's going on between the left and O'Reilly and Beck...being accused of the fomenting the last couple of instances of gun violence in this country, and this in the face of the dems authoring all sorts of gun-control schemes...so they have incidents, they have scapegoats, and they have ignorant people to foist it off on. The attack machine is alive and well. I only hope the repubs learn this lesson well because when the return to the majority, they must use that power effectively to destroy the democrat party which is no longer a political party (they've descended into a cadre of thugs) and they are no longer democratic.

Extremely well said, and I mean both of your posts on this thread. The game is changed. The left is no longer even pretending to be fair or inclusive and the irony of what they say versus what they do has never been more pronounced. It is an unprecedented level of hypocrisy.

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church (2267), "the traditional teaching of the Church does not exclude recourseto the death penalty, if this is the only possible way of effectively defending human lives against the unjust aggressor". The death penalty is NOT against Catholic values, lets get that one straight, please.
Questions, did Newt obtain annullments from his first two marriages (a gruelling & invasive process for all parties involved)? Does he currently receive the Eucharist w/o obtaining said annullments? Were his previous marriages valid in the eyes of the Church?

Believe it or not, there are some real Catholics left in America. People are quick to condemn the the whole faith for weakness in the others, there is only one who can and will make that call in the end. Until then, cast stones if you are worthy. I am not.[&o]
