Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Bye bye Dodd

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/03/30/dodd-aide-dismisses-report-donations-aig/

Rot roo. No wonder he added the "language" to the stinkulus bill that allowed bonuses for CEO..

Quote:
The Washington Times reported that in a November 2006 e-mail, the head of the troubled Financial Products unit told employees that Dodd was "next in line" to chair the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, where he would "have the opportunity to set the committee's agenda on issues critical to the financial services industry."
Dodd quickly "hit pay dirt," according to the article -- and he later transferred the donations to fund his failed 2008 presidential bid.Between 2003-2008, Dodd collected more than $223,000 from AIGemployees, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
Now ifhis constituents vote him back into office, they will prove they are eat up with stupid.

I really don't think we need to wait that long. I already know they're "eat up with stupid."

I think it's very telling that Obama was the #2 recipient of money from AIG employees. Look for Dodd to try to down play the whole thing, but if it doesn't blow over quickly for him to step down so as to not draw attention to the President.

Democrates have proven to be out for #1. And that being themselves and no one else. So I dont see Dodd taking one for the team.

Well said Burnie, the only way we'll get rid of him is if the people from CT vote him out.

What's sad is way too many of us regular joes continue to put up with this crap on both sides of the aisle. Obama has his hands dirty on this and will obviously try to ignore or downplay it. However, as Republicans, we need to hold our Republican congressmen and women accountable also. And FWIW, I am in no way trying to downplay or cover for Dodd--I think he should be recalled from office because he's a hypocrite and does not have the best interests of this country in mind.

I think you will continue to see this as long as there is only a two party system to choose a government...we have a multi party system and even then it has it's flaws...but it does work to counter the two party back and forth same old same old in which there is no other party to stop the other, and congress seems to be very busy, so busy they didn't read the stimulus bill? or were they told to let 'er fly?

Curious.
