Default How much is a trillion dollars?

This is $10,000....it is a stack of $100 bills that is about 1/2 inch thick.

Again, a 1/2 inch thick stack of $100 bills is $10,000.

This is one trillion dollars. Notice the height of the man at left. Also notice that the pallets of money are double stacked.

Bush left a deficit somewhere between 400 and 500 billion dollars.

Obama's budget this year is projected to be 1.7 trillion dollars.

He calls this "change".

I guess it is.

Atrillion dollars is so muchmoney that the first federal budget to exceed one trillion dollars did not happen until 1987. It took 200 years for the US federal budget to exceed one trillion dollars. The FY 2009 federal budget isabout 3.1 trillion dollars.The political pukes in DC have managed to more than triple the federal budget in just 22 years. Now Obamawants about 3.7 trillion for FY 10.
