Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Smuggling Dish Washer Detergent

Yep, you read it right. Being green has some drawbacks.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- The quest for squeaky-clean dishes has turned some law-abiding people in Spokane into dishwater-detergent smugglers.

[/align]They are bringing Cascade or Electrasol in from out of state because the eco-friendly varieties required under Washington state law don't work as well.

Damn liberals!!!!!....first they make you drive out of state to get your smokes because of the taxes and now they're making people eat off of dirty dishes. They're just plain uncouth. They just don't care about common people. Liberals are only interested in helping the rich!

Not surprising. I had to go to Canada to buy full flushing toilets for my house.

Pretty soon it will have to be for incadesant light bulbs.[:@]

What a bunch of useless feel good crapola! The chlorine in the detergent does more harm than the phosphate ever will.

I don't think that is the issue, only 1 point in the argument. The true heart of this issue, is that when the use of so-called 'green' technology is legislated and mandated, it should work just as good as, or better than the technology it's replacing. So far, this has not been the case. The energy-saver bulbs are nice, except you need to turn on the lights 5 minutes before you actually need them, and call out the hazmat team if one breaks in your house. Nice technology ! Same goes for a 'detergent' that renders your dishwasher inert...I guess the 'greenies' like to recycle their food from meal to meal as well......

I bought a energy saving light bulb here the other day for my outside light, it was advertised as being brighter than the older models. What a POS, it barely lights the top step much less the yard, I may as well have plugged my kids Scooby DOO night light in out there.

I got some of those flourescent bulbs, they work pretty good inside, but don't deal very well with temp and humidity changes outdoors.

My point exactly. For the last 11,000 years, newer technology replaced older technology because it performed better.
Now, the current crop of fascists are mandating a devolution of technological performance in the name of progress.
I hate the times we are living in.....
