Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Sgt. Boston Corbett, the guy who shot John Wilkes Booth against orders. A guy who castrates himselfdeserves some attention.

Dunno about controversial, but old Boston certainly takes the cake for weirdness. Think that i could fijnd other ways to avoid having sex with hookers apart from flushing the old family jewels down the drain.

Earl Browder, who was head of the American Communist Party from 1930 until he was deposed in 1945

Duke and Byrd. Byrd is still in the game, but both were involved in political offices and were involved with the KKK.

Probably none more controversial than John Brown. Seen as a hero in the north but devil in the south.

Good pick.

If USMC Lt. Israel Green had been wearing his service sword no one would have ever heard of JohnBrown because he would have been run through and would have died. There would not have beenthe sensation of a trial for Brown.

Green had come off parade when his unit was rounded up and sent to Harpers Ferry. Green was wearing his parade sword and it bent when he tried to run Brown through.

That's an interesting tidbit, Falcon. I grew up just a mile or so from the house that Brown used to organize his raid but I had never heard the story about the parade sword before. I learn something new every day!
