I heard that report and was shocked to hear that 27 percent of Catholics voted for osama. To me this is unbelievable, he is the most pro choice pro abortion candidate that ever ran for the office. How could they ever have supported him? I know a lot of Catholics and am one myself, I never heard any support for him.
My mother use to provide care to retired nuns, not sure that was at a convent or what. But all were educated, she would often say how they hated Bush and loved Obama, they even liked Kerry over Bush.
Many refused to vote altogether since they were obligated to not vote for someone pro choice.
I still haven't got over my priest speaking out over the Kerry/Bishop communion issue. It never sat well with me and still doesn't today. I aplaud them for protesting this.

The church does not try to control the votes of any members. However it is strange for any real Catholic to support anyone pro abortion.
Indeed. Either they A) Didn't know what he stands for or B) they don't follow the church's beliefs or maybe C) a little bit of both.
