Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Obama's pick for commerce secretary says his budget will bankrupt US

This is a guy whose judgement Obama himself respects. "Yes we can!" [:@]

Sen. Gregg says Obama budget will bankrupt US
[ul][/ul]

WASHINGTON " The top Republican on the Senate Budget Committee says the Obama administration is on the right course to save the nation's financial system.
But Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire also says President Barack Obama's massive budget proposal will bankrupt the country.
Gregg says he has no regrets in withdrawing his nomination to become commerce secretary. He pulled out after deciding he could not fully back the administration's economic policies.
The senator said Obama's spending plan in the midst of a prolonged recession would leave the next generation with a country too expensive to live in.
Gregg appeared Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."

Are we talking about this Senator ?????
Friday the AP reported that Gregg had invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in Cyrus Gregg"s office projects at the Pease International Tradeport, a Portsmouth business park built at the former Air Force base in New Hampshire. The lawmaker netted at least $240,017 and as much as $651,801 from his investments there, financial disclosure forms show.

Gregg told the AP that he violated no laws or Senate rules. In the statement, he also said at least $66 million in earmarks he secured for the area in and around the former Air Force base were supported by the National Guard, the mayor of Portsmouth, or "other public officials," and did not "involve my initiative but only my support of the requests."

Gregg also stressed that he served as a "passive investor" in several limited liability partnerships managed by his brother and plays "no active role in business decisions related to these investments at Pease."

LMAO, every earmark is supported by someone and is at the request of a constituant.

Gregg said his withdrawal earlier this month was due partly to his concern about the Obama administration's decision to have the next census director report to senior White House staffers as well as the commerce secretary.

I won't defend earmarks by anyone, least of all people who personally profit from them. I also won't defendObama forlying roughly 9,000 times, one for each earmark he let slip through without going "line by line" like he said to eliminate them. Bottom line, Obamatrusts this guy's judgement, and this guy says we're going bankrupt. But don't take his word for it, more and more people are coming out saying we are headed for catastropheeach time Obama whips out or national credit card. I now see it will another $trillion for the toxic bank plan. This money cannot be createdout of thin air, it will either need tobepaid back along with the other $trillions in debt,or water down the dollar's buying power commensurately.

Already, Obama has spent, or pledged to spend more money than every other president combined.[&o]
