Default Obama limits lobbyist influence

So, what do you guys think about this? I find it to be a pretty great idea; I think it will get a lot more citizens involved and aware of what happens in Washington. Not too mention, I think this guideline will in a sense, make citizens feel as if their Government can function for the common man ( which it does in everyday life ) lol"¦.. What do you think of the new guideline?

"śAny lobbyist who wants to talk with any member of my administration about a particular recovery act project will have to submit their thoughts in writing, and we will post it on the internet for all to see ( applause ) "¦ If any member of my administration does meet with a lobbyist about a recovery act project, every American will be able to go online and see what that meeting was about."ť

well, that's a nice sentiment, if you believe this lying stinking slob of a marionette. Lobbyists ? Aren't there lobbyists he's appointed to his admin ? Did he and Pelosi not promise open government, yet hold closed door meeting about bailouts and budget policy ? Don't make me laugh. All that wafts down from D.C. lately is the stench of fresh bulldung. You apparently have acquired a taste for it....eat up !

Obama appointed another lobbyist to hisadministration yesterday. What he's saying is thank you for your input but I've already got it.

Ahhhhh, the mighty power of lobby. This is perhaps the greatest thing that a president could do. It really proves that Obama is willing and determined to change the way things are run in washington. If he had the power to do this on all lobby across the board it would crush whats left of the republicans, because they opperate fully on lobby interest at all levels of gov. Of course both parties are guilty, but the republicans enter office and vote fully on lobby interest and payoffs. I would like to see Obama, and I think he will, start changing things concerning term limits and self voted pay raises, also any compensations after leaving office. This is a small step, but proves Obama is living up to his campaign commitments.

Well, I don't think President Obama is necessarily excluding Lobbyist all around. This particular situation is only for a recovery act project, it doesn't encompass lobbyist all around the board.

But he said he was not going to allow any lobbyist to work for his administration. He made a promise that lasted all but 1 hour.

FYI Kaibab, there's nothing wrong with Lobbyist. Thet're not the problem. They in fact are a right guaranteed by our constitution. Look it up. Get back to me if your having a problem putting your finger on it.
