Default Bush's Treasury did limit bonuses

Fox has just reported on their first run through of the emails between AIG Treasury and Outside Lawyers reveal the bonuses were known months ago. They say a lot of information has been blacked out as privileged. No mention if it's email recipients. However, bottom line the top 75 executives had their bonuses and competiton limited.

TARP inspector general says Bush administration specifically considered and approved AIG bonuses.
Bloomberg News reports that Neil Barofsky, inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), told the House Ways and Means oversight subcommittee today that the Bush administration "śspecifically contemplated"ť paying bonuses to AIG employees in its November agreement to provide federal bailout funds to the failing insurance giant:
[blockquote]
The TARP contract between AIG and Treasury "śspecifically contemplated the payment of bonuses and retention payments to AIG employees, including AIG"™s senior partners,"ť Barofsky said.
[/blockquote]
Yesterday, AIG CEO Edward Liddy testified that Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke approved these bonuses, saying that Federal Reserve representatives attend AIG"™s "śvarious meetings on strategy and they have the ability to weigh in "” either yea or nay "” on anything that we decide."ť

Hey falcon, you posted yesterday's news. It has changed today now that emails have been turned over. I stand by my statement, Bush's treasury limited bonuses and compensation packages for the top 75 execs.

Dodd and Obama are on AIG's payroll... Follow the money.

This whole dust-up is simply to keep Obama's sheeple from questioning some of his other spending.

Dodd has been in the pockets of AIG execs fordecades.Lotsof DC political pukes from both partys are in the pockets of AIG. The Dodd thingbugs me more than the others because the scumbag initially lied about inserting the AIG bonuses into the porkulus bill. According to some in congress, Dodd insertedtheAIG bonus requirement after the senate/house conference. Hope thatDoddgets beat in the election next year.

Sorry, I beg to differ. Reread my first post. Information has been blacked out in the emails. No mention ifmemos includes email recipients aka the paper trail. News reports put Giethner as point man in this whole process. Whats very telling is the lack of confirmation that he was either in on the emails or left out. That should really worry you if you stand behind the tax cheat and obama's decission tokeep him on.

Kaibab you make absolutely no sense. Your twin RM just screwed your argument by saying the Dems limited the bonuses. Now you are still arguing a moot point. I don't think you even know, anymore, what you were saying yesterday. You have gone in more circles than a worn out hoola-hoop.

You want to call me out on something you better have your facts together. I am no "sidekick" either by the way. You don't like it when the name calling goes against you.........don't do it to me. I will respect you until you piss me off.
