Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Congress creates another loophole

While they target AIG executives, they create a loophole to not punish the Merril Lynch Executives. What a fricking joke. Change we can believe in, right RM.

I have not heard of that happening FM. These people are not being punished, taking the money back is not punishment, most of them don't even need the money because of the fleecing they have done the past decade.. I personally am glad that something, anything, is being done. The ones that had contracts surely feel robbed, but something had to be done, the american people demanded it.

You sicken me RM. What your calling for is mob rule. These guys did nothing wrong but lived up to their contracts and contracts are contracts. Who are you to say they don't need the money? They earned the money plain a simple.

Do you think Merril Lynch Executives should be punished too? And what about workers at GM and Ford who's contracts were busted before they could get their bailout money?

You better study up on Constitutional Law RM. The House just violated the Bill of Attainder. Look it up. Now they are going to cost us even more money with this heading to court to be battled out.
Ignorance must truly be bliss for you.

No no one should. In the first place the government shouldn't have step in in the first place. It's not their job to pick winners and loosers. We allow the market place to do that. Second, now that they broke that sacred rule, they now feel it's their job to continue down this road of picking winners and looser. I'm illistrating the fact they are incapable of doing this and that's why they were never giving the power by the constitution in the first place. We are so far off the reservation today, the country may collapse before it finds it's way back.

It's sad to say but at the rate we are going that is probably the best thing that could happen.

It pains me to see you're sickened FM. I thinks its feasable to say that these executives did know what was going on, and what they were selling. These people knew that selling the idea of insuring these bundle'd mortgages and high risk investments was a no win. I don't think there is any lack of knowing amongst any of the execs. And besides, it is tax payer money...bail out money. The very company they work for burned their bonuses by failing.

You just showed your complete lack of knowledge on the subject (not anything new for you RM). The Execs your upset about are long gone. BTW Eliot Spitzer was the one who signed of on him. The execs that are left, aren't the ones who set direction. These are the guys the government appointed CEO has his cart hitched to to pull the company out of the ditch enough. The idea is to get parts healthy enough to sell off the company in pieces or as a whole and recoup our 130 billion. Do you see the bigger picture? It's not 160 million in earned bonuses.
