US Army MPs from Ft. Rucker went to Samson, AL to help out after the mass murder there. Now the 4 star demands to to know why Army troops went into town.That provost marshallmay bein deep crap for a violation of the posse comiatus act.So is the post commander.
Beck said today that someone could get up to two years in the slammer for that. He said however that probably nobody would get nailed for it. Bad deal when it seems that nobody knows where the order came from.
I live almost right next to a huge air force base. My understanding is that the MP's there regularly write speeding tickets on roads off the base and (I think) can make arrests as well. If alocked and loaded rifle company was sent in to patrol the streets i could see a real problem. But, MP's helping out their local law enforcement counterparts during a major crisis? Seems like folks would have better things to worry about.

That is the exact thing that they would like people to think, They are just helping out. For military to get involved in civilian law is absolutely a direct violation to the constitutions and the first step toward a police state. It cannot be allowed under any circumstance. One step at a time they assault the laws of the land to get people accustom to their heavy hand. WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP !!!!, This time the sky may be falling.

Beck's staff called the local police chief's office, no clue who requested or authorized it, called the Governer's office, wasn't even aware of it. Contacted the DOD (army) was told no comment. Finally called the White House and was told " Why are you worried about such a small event" or words to that effect. Perhaps the administration testing the waters by dipping a toe in first, next time it may be the foot, then the leg. People need to express the outrage that this is. It is a violation of federal law and the mandate of the armed forces. This was not the Governer activating the NG, this was full time active duty US Army personnel.
