Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Will wonders never cease.Perhaps they rightly felt guilty.

WASHINGTON"“Under intense pressure from the Obama administration and Congress, the head of bailed-out insurance giant AIG declared Wednesday that some of the firm's executives have begun returning all or part of bonuses totaling $165 million. Edward Liddy, brought in last year to oversee a company that has received $182 billion in federal bailout funds, offered no details.

I think it has more to do with fearing for their lives then anything else. We have witch hunt going on right now where Barney Frank is going to make public the names and amounts each person received. Hey falcon, care to post your w-2 for us? Didn't you say you were going after money from the same bill that allowed these executives to get their bonuses?

Sounds good to me. Maybe they decided that they had a better chance of keeping their jobs in the US owned AIG corporation.

Nope, the contracts i am going after are in the porkulus bill. AIG bailout is a totally different pot of borrowed money.

In that very same bill your talking about had the clause that the executives could receive their bonuses. So you tell me, what's the difference?

AIG employees who recieved any bonuses don't have a choice.... they either give it back, or the Government will tax virtually all ofit away from them.

Should Dodd leave with Geithner, or should they exit separately?

That great. Lets put all the power of the US Government to go after our legal citizens of the USA for doing nothing more than going to work and fullfilling their contract. You said you aspire to being an attorney down the road. I hope it's not contract law.

Actually, I had a change of heart.... I want to be just like YOU!

Would it be okay if the shareholders brought suit and asked for it back?

No. What grounds is there for someone living up to their contract and then the other side not honoring theirs? Would you mind it if your parents paid off their house in full and the bank keeping the deed to the house? Would you be happy to go through four years of college, passing all your classes, meeting all the credit requirements for obtaining your degree and ASU not awarding you with your degree? Do you expect them to live up to their contract?

We are a nation of laws. Contract law is very important for this nation to function anlong with property rights. When we fail to live up and protect property rights, this nation is over.
