Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default This admin sounds like McCain everyday

Besides, thinking about taxing healthcare benifits, Christin Romer's White House chief economist said over the weekend that the fundamentals of the economy are sound. Hmmm, didn't McCain utter these very words?

Doesn't sound at all like McCain. First, I believe it was Bush that said the fundamentals were sound...

Second, McCain was going to give a healthcare credit that would have set-off the increase in taxes. Obama chastised McCain for proposing the healthcare tax (and his ads did NOT mention the offsetting tax credit.... more evidence that Obama is a liar and that the voters who elected him are idiots). Obama is not proposing a similar credit. And, Obama specifically pledged that he would not raise taxes on ANYONE making less than $250,000. I saw a chart in the paper yesterday indicating that in our family's income range, our tax increase will be over $4,000, and we're not anywhere near that $250K cut-off. (And, this is where the descriptors for Obama voters get worse... dolts, assclowns, morons, leeches, parasites, thieves, I can go on all day...)

"The latest government figures, for 2007, show that 70 percent of the 253 million people with health insurance received at least some of their coverage through employers. Employment-based insurance covers three-fifths of the population under 65."

Exactly how do they propose to tax a benefit that doesn't pay cash directly to the recipient?

How much does your employer pay for your coverage?
