I will go through the budget line by line and not allow earmarks. 410 Billion Dollars that not only double funds just about everything for the year but also contains well over 8000 earmarks.[:-]
George Bush as the never ending power grab by the executive branch had signing statements that interpreted how he would interpret the bill. I believe the are unconstitutional and as an attorney with 10 years experience with constitutional law, I will not issue signing statements. 410 Billion Dollars that not only double funds just about everything for the year and has well over 8000 earmarks also came with a signing statement by Obama.[:-]
Is this man going to keep a sing campaign promise? Let's see, my administration will contain no lobbyist. Lie
I will have all bills posted for 5 days before I sign them. lie
I will have an ethical and open administration. lie
I'm not a socialist. LIE

No president is going to veto a pork laden bill that was passed by his own party. Bush did not do it when the Republican congress sent him17 billion in pork. No other modern president has done that either. Yep, a president whose party does not control congress will whine, gnash his teeth, posture and veto a porky bill once in awhile. Bush did that with the water bill: Then Republicans in congress rallied around the Democrats and passed it over his veto.
Pork is a long time DC institution. Despite all the lies to the contrary, neither party is serious about eliminating pork. Pork is payback to those lobbyists who fill the pockets of members of congress. Pork is not going to go away; not this year, not ever.
Falcon, I agree with your assessment about pork.
The problem I have are the promises made by Obama and the people who continue to believe what he spews to them.
No earmarks, tranparency, etc etc. Hope and Change......tell the people what they want to hear and screw them in the end.
More of the same. Different party.

My favorite description of the political process is calling it "The honorable art of disreputable compromise".
Anyone running for public office is free to make whatever promises they want during the campaign because they know full well that they can never deliver them all by themselves. Once in office, if a candidate suddenly finds themselves in a position of having to reneg on a campaign promise they can always blame it on "the other guy" who stood in the way because he wasn't getting what he wanted in return.

I believe he indicated he'd overturn the ban on Federal funding of stem cell research and overseas abortions - he did that. He's a big socialist, and he's moving us in that direction thus living up to what he was voted in as. Oh, he gave Palestine almost a Billion dollars in aid, you know, as part of the promise of reaching out to terrorists. He promised to move fast and quick .... and he pushed 800 billion in spending through really quickly .........
You see, he HAS done what he campaigned on ........ its just now no one likes what they voted in []

Where are the sheeple comments to this? Must be gathering in a closed session trying to figure out how to blame Bush for it I would imagine.
Ill play Rainman or the kid.
Listen to me, and listen to me close, its the Republicans fault. They are running around like rats, in the shadows doing their evil magic to bring down the world.. Bush is still in charge and bullies Obama in the corners of the White house. Poor Democrats are trying to fix the problems, but Bush wont get out of the way. Bush, Republicans, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush. His fault, he caused it. We are poor victims. It is well known that Bush refused to leave the White house and is still messing things up. Everyone knows that.
How did I do?
