Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default As Obama's policies create civil unrest, will he take guns away

Seems like a perfect scenario for the Messiah. His policies will lead to higher unemployment, retirement account losses, higher utility bills and taxes oneveryone as it is realized hisporky schemes can't bepaid forby the "rich." We are alreadywitnessing an uptick in violence, to include the recent shooting that left 9 dead. Imagine when the S&P goes to 500 or below, and people lose MORE money and theeconomy sheds millions more jobs. More people will have nothing to lose and you will see even more shootings, etc. Then Obama can once again use the fear tactics he disdained as a candidate, this timeto clamp down on lawfulgun ownership, if he doesn't choose to do soin the meantime. Thoughts?

He's already shown an interest in coming after our firearms. The Democrat congressmen and senators are just as gun-legislation hungry as ever.

The one positive we have this time around is history and a pivotal S.C. decision.

The Dem senators and congressmen are students of history, and as evidenced by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi's statements, I think they realize gun control legislation would give the Republican party the energizing shot in the arm it so badly needs, and it would be 1994 all over again in 2010. They don't want to loose their seats, so I think they'll work as hard as they can to keep gun control legislation from getting anywhere.

On top of that, I would say the Parker case gives us firm ground to challenge any new gun legislation that may be coming down the pipeline were it to make it through and become law.

I hope I'm right.

He won't do it but he will prompt someone else to do it , then sign it. It's the last real step. Control the money, The Health care and the guns. They got you.

He won't control all of the guns. I believe that there are several million gun owners that would ratheruse force to keep their firearmsif they have to instead of freely giving them up. It is estimated that about 52 million house holds own about 260 million firearms.

I personally have stopped buying firearms that I want and am buying firearms and ammo for whatI may need in the future.

I wouldn't be suprised if him and the Dems are going to try. Why is the H.R.45 Blair Holt Bill trying to be passed? It's to find gun owners and find a way to take their guns.

Same here... I have a bunch of .308 ammo, 9mm +P ammo, and a bunch of 00 buckshot as well.

I have a bizarre fear that it is going to get real bad before it gets any better. [&:]

At this point in time, I beleive that the Dems. have a pretty full plate to chew on, BUT IF....and that's one big IF.......the economy can find a way to rebound from not one, but two big dollar porkulus bills.(with the 2nd one in the talks as we type)....and level out, then the time will be ripe for the Dems. to shoot for the higher goal of gun confisgation. Too much for them to bite off, ......right now! Give'em time, they will be coming for our guns![:@]

Hide guns and ammo where you can, that bizarre fear is indeed real. I am buying up what I can up here as I can. certain calibers are hard to come buy because shipments from USA have slowed or stopped.
