So, are we going to war with Korea?
This is getting kind of scary. Clinton has said we will shoottheirlong range rocketdown if they fire it. Korea says it will declare war if anyone shoots down their rocket.
Honestly, What the hell is North Korea thinking? Am I missing something? To me, I totally agree with Clintons decision to shoot that rocket out of the sky, but North Korea needs to get their **** together.

It's nothing but saber-rattling on the part of Pyongyang. They're fighting their propaganda war as usual, and feeling a little emboldened by our new president. If Bush were still in office, they probably wouldn't even make such a comment; there would have to be a sneaking suspicion in the back of their minds that he just might be crazy enough to call their bluff. With Obama, they're probably banking on him allowing them to fire off their little bottle rocket without incident. Maybe they're right and maybe they aren't, but I don't think it's anything more than a calculated gamble on their part.
If they do fire their "satellite" and we do shoot it down, fine. Let them declare war. Do they really have the strength to bring the fight to us? They could probably draw us into a large-scale battle by attacking our interests in South Korea, but do they really want to go there? There's a big difference between tickling the ear of a tiger by engaging in a propaganda battle and sticking your head in the tiger's mouth by engaging in a physical altercation. North Korea is craftily crazy. But they ain't stupid.

The biggest fear that I have is that they fire their rocket and we don't/won't shoot it down. This is not the place to blink.IMO Ronnie would have never let it get anywhere near this far.

Don't forget all the crap the Dems gave GW for going forward with increased funding. I remember several Dems claiming it would never work.
