Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default DNC vs Rush

Is it me, or is this like watching Jr. high school girls trying to one up the other. Im sure Rush is appreciating all the free press. But it is a shame that our elected leaders are acting like little girls trying to one up a radio personalilty.Im waiting for the slut card to start getting played. What would have been said if Bush would have gone on the attack agianst Mahre, Penn, Dixie Chicks, etc. etc. I kind of expected our leaders to be a bit more mature.

Some folks seem to think that Limpbaugh does have quite a bit of power to persuade folks. If I recall, he was widely credited with being one of the factors when the Republicans gained control of Congress during Clinton's second term.

If the Republican party had any sense it would totally divorce itself from Limbaugh and the other far right entertainers. These entertainers are giving the left new energyand turning off Republicans by the droves.

One thing for sure, Those idiots have shot Rush's radio show rating through the roof. They say they have never had this many listeners. He is not hurting the Republicans a bit. Those who don't like him can shut him off so I don't see a problem at all.

Rush is entertaining and he's right about a lot of things. Democrats would be wiser to re-examine their positions and figure out why so many people disagree with their present economic plans. I don't think it's the conservative wing of the Republican party that is chasing away Republicans. I don't know of any conservative who would call McCain a conservative with a straight face. Even Bill Clinton eventually got it--that it's the economy stupid!! Obama hasn't figured that out yet and isn't likely to do so. He appears to be pandering to each liberal constituent group and doesn't seem to have an overall grasp of things, let alone any understanding of exactly why this economy is in the tank.[]

I would think that Limbaugh makes Obama and the Dems in Congress a bit nervous. Given the low approval ratings on Congress andvarious screw-ups by the new administtration, daily harpings against the Dems by Limbaugh could help shift the momentum against them in the next elections. Of course, the Dems are playing right into his hands by making an issue of him, as opposed to just ignoring him. And Limbaugh is laughing all the way to the bank while at the same time getting an ego boost by being recognized as a major political player.

While I agree with you on the economic level, I think you might want to go one level deeper and recommend that the Republicans re-examine their entire approach and try to figure out why so many hardcore left wing radicals are now in control of this country, its finances, it foreign policies, its tax laws, our educational systems, and on and on.

The bricks being thrown at Limbaugh as representing the right wing are indicative of the power the Dems now possess. They are essentially openly gloating without fear of reprisal.

We are now watching historical levels of change take place at an unprecedented pace. People wanted "change." They were tired of the twisting of what was once a tried and true conservative approach to living in America. The Republicans and their constituents are now getting precisely what they worked so hard for and deserve so much. Want to keep moving to the left to be politically correct? Move far enough, stay there long enough, and it begins to appear as though you promote a half-baked Democratic stance. Some things taste awful in half measures. Truth is one of those things. The result? People voted for what they felt that even the Republicans endorse...deficits. But this time around it will be (supposedly) for Americans instead of Iraqis.

We're now getting the government we deserve.

I see the exact opposite, the Dems would love to see him lead the Republican party. He is so radical, and doesn't try and hide the Republicans real agenda to oppress the middle class and poorer. The Republicans will lose alot of votes with him spouting off.
