Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

With everything going on everyday layoffs, the stock market keeps going south. Are we ever going to see the end? My fear we arent even close. The world as we once knew it is no longer. Even if things do return to normal. Where all these people going to work that been layoff. Alot of these companies are shuting down. Are we in a depression or we heading to one?

I'm affraid not. When you have the president now blaming all the job lose and bad economy on a new industry today healthcare rather than yersterday's bad boy the mortgage brokers. I'm not sure the bottoms near. When he can sit there and claim that we're in this whole because of the rising cost of healthcare. I've got news for him, healthcare costs have been rising for decades, so has life expectancy and jobs (around 40 mil). Oh well facts don't count. Then if people really think about what he has said will save the system, expanding medicare and medicaid. They are broke. We're in the hole already by over 55 trillion. Why add more? It drives me nuts when he makes false claims that every 30 seconds someone declares bankruptcy because they cant afford healthcare. They couldn't even back that up. Remember when they say we must act now and act fast with out debate, they're liars and it costs us trillions.[:@]

Read up on the Great Depression and you'll understand that we aren't in nearly as bad shape as things may appear, compared to that period all we're seeing is a relative bump in the road. Yeah, the housing and stock markets are dropping like rocks, they've been grossly overvalued for decades, so it was just a matter of timing. Now toss in the banking industry finally coming to the point where the dumbass goobermint lead them by forcing them to loan "fairly", they exclude some candidates for loans for a damned good reason and should have been allowed to do so. Bottom line, we're not in a depression, just a recession, right now the market forces are pausing to adjust as they should.

He made the stement based on a Harvard study, this study was rechecked by Fact-Check org, and came up with a bankruptcy every minute rather than 30 seconds. What difference does it make? The statement is true enough. I'm glad someone is finally going to attempt a fix of the system and weed out the corruption.

Please post the statement then. What he made was a false statement and the news has caught him in another lie.

No. The cost of goods and services is skyrocketing. The goods news is if a business has kept it's over head low and does business as if they were the customer, they will be the ones who can continue doing business without much trouble and the difference between what you charge for what you do and what others charge for the same will be so different that in it's self will be the best advertising dollar you can spend.

Has a stituation the other day were I had toinform a supplierthat although the money I was spending wasn't my own, people hire me because I treat it like it is.

The market will go lower, probably to around 5,000 before there is a real turn around. There isa lot of poison paper out there thatmust be written down or written off. If AIG hasa couple more quarterly losses like the last one, that company is most likely to go belly up.

So he only exaggerated by double (if you are correct). No big deal huh? So, if you hire someone to fix your car and they tell you up front it will cost $500, but when they are done they tell you it's actually going to cost you $1,000, it won't bother you in the least...right?

Or if you go to a store and when the cashier rings up your total, you can plainly see it's $100, but the cashier charges you $200--no biggie--just pay it--right?

Just how much is twice as much? Let's see.......try sticking one finger in your nostril, then stick two fingers in that same nostril and get back to us.

That's basically the same thing bho is doing with our tax dollars, except we aren't even getting the car fixed or getting any groceries out of the deal.[:@][:'(]

No. If he said that, it is not an exaggeration, it is an outright lie. No business worth their weight in widgets is going to go bankrupt because of healthcare. That's rediculous. Limit or lower the health care. If you can't because of union restrictions or something else then obviously there's a much bigger problem in your organization.

Fred,
On a positive note..Christians have a wonderful opportunity to help the poor.We no longer need to send relief to Africa and India..there are plenty of needs right here in each of our neighborhoods.Certianly we can't help them all but we can help someone..The needs are outrageous..I have students in my class without heat and electric..I'm doing all I can do..
Summary,
It's a great time to let God's love shine through you.
