Default This should help "fight" global warming...

"The plan also contains a contentious proposal to raise hundreds of billions of dollars by auctioning off permits to exceed carbon emissions caps, which Obama wants to impose on users of fossil fuels to address global warming.
Some of the revenues from the pollution permits would be used to extend the "Making Work Pay" tax credit of $400 for individuals and $800 for couples beyond 2010, as provided in the just-passed economic stimulus bill. The administration said this extension would help to cushion lower-income Americans from the higher electricity bills they will face because of the stiffer pollution controls."

Well jeep. You live in California. How well is it working out there? I read an article but can't find it right now how a lime stone mine may have to shut down completely. They don't have enough still in the ground to cover the 200 million in upgrades. Oh well, you all don't need cement anymore. You can now make earthquake proof huts correct?

It doesn't hurt so much when a grass hut falls on your head...

They use to do that burie. My relative's property pretty much got paid for through the natural habitat programs of the 60s. He was paid not to farm it. Of course he was never planning on farming it but free money was free money.

They still do FM, a few guys around here have had hundreds and hundreds of acres turned into thier own private little game preserves complete with ponds with the DNR paying for all the expenses plus leasing the ground from them long term.Of course by the DNR I mean my tax dollars and the money from me buying hunting, fishing, and trapping licences every year going to fund it.

Well I was told that in Ohio if the DNR has ever stocked a pond or reservoir with their fish and the land owner does not pay for the fish then those fish can be fished by anyone that wants to that has a fishing license. Not sure how true that is but that's what I was told.

Lefty, that absolutely was true. That's why my relative built and stock his own pond when he built it. Interesting enough, if no one swam in the pond, he said he could have trout in there. Heck why wouldn't you want to swim in the pond though? Bass is good enough.
