I was watching the news the other night, not sure what channel it was on.They had an entire segment on stock brokers and banking officials who had lost thier jobs and couldnt find new ones. The entire piece was geared towards creating sympathy for these guys, but when it came down to it they werent just looking for jobs, they were looking for jobs comparable to the ones they lost. They werent applying at Walmart or Mc Donalds, they were still looking for jobs where they could make a couple hundred grand a year or more with the big benifit packages all the perks. All the while whining about how hard the job market was and how they were in danger of losing thier homes etc...
Im pretty sympathetic for the most part towards anyone whos lost thier job right now, its tough out there.Im even fairly sympathetic towards most people who have the added hardship of looking at losing thier homes and other stuff as a result.
But this piece for some reason left me feeling pretty unsympathetic. Why should I care if these guys are unemployed, what do I care if they lose thier houses. Some of them have made a living from taking peoples money and property away from them when they were in the same situation. When I had financial problems a few years back where were these guys? Did they care if my wife was on bed rest at risk of losing our child and our income had been cut in half?Nope, they were only to happy to send out foreclosure papers, threaten me with lawsuits, and repo my vehichles.
Welcome to my world guys, when you get hard enough up come see me, I can give you a job doing fiberglass work with all the overtime you can handle, but for some reason I bet I dont see many applications from them.
You don't have to care about their jobs. Nor should they care about your personal issues. They had nothing to do with them. However, if those wallstreet jobs don't comeback, you may be looking for a new job yourself because all the investments in your industry will dry up once Obama is done blowing his green wad.

Speaking of printing money, why shouldn't people be able to print their own money? I mean, only if they really, really need it of course. Heck, maybe they lost their job, have a baby on the way and are in danger of losing their house!!!!! They need it bad just to pay their bills and eat, why shouldn't they just be able to print it??? Why is the government so against it?
Kind of like a 5'5", 300 lb mom telling her 10 year old son not to eat the ice cream in the freezer because he'll get fat. She probably just wants it all for herself........
They could just print the money and leave the amount blank. The user can write in whatever number they want. Kinda like the osama administration does. He tells his little democratic puppies how much he wants and they just bark it out.[&:]
