Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default The brain trust is waking up!

>>"There were a lot of people that were banking on Washington to get us out of this. I don"t know if there is anything Washington can do," Salamone said. He said the global economy is going through the tedious process of reducing borrowing and working through bad debt " something that government help can"t speed up.<<

Ever feel like people follow you around and a short time later, claim as their own something you told them?

If I could only get THEM to adopt the right course which is reduce the cost of goods and services below their ACTUAL value so people can afford to buy them and settle for making something instead of nothing. Then when the economy rebounds increase the price to it's ACTUAL value, NOT SO HIGH THAT PEOPLE NEED A TEN YEAR LOAN JUST TO BE ABLE TO BUY A CAR FOR PETE'S SAKE. OR A CREDIT CARD TO BUY GAS AND FOOD, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. OR A HOME LOAN THAT PEOPLE CAN OLNY AFFORD A PAYMENT THAT JUST COVERS THE INTEREST GOD HELP US! [:@]

It will never happen as long as Golum, the creepy dude from "Lord of The Rings" is the poster boy for big oil and the bulk of the free market! [:@]

People are waking up and coming to the cold reality that this was a pork bill not a stimulus bill. However, what you pay for any item is and needs to stay with the free market. Last thing we want is government deciding what something should cost. If not we'll end up like Russia with few items to choose from on the supermarket shelves as oppose to the 60,000 items on the shelves today.

Ever stop to think how many different regulations the government puts on car manufactures when they build a car? All of them add costs. FYI, the solution if you can't affordor don't want buy new, always buy used.My last new car was my Lincoln LS, since then I will never buy new again. I let someone else take that hit.

J. Edgar Hoover wouldn't let his drivers make left turns.

With the way things are going in DC, I trust my brain more and more every day.

Well, that had practical safety implications. With a touch of phobia.

In my mothers later years she used say " We were so Poor and so happy." We didn't have a lot of the stuff we wanted, but we had more than we really needed. With a little luck, there is where we are heading now.

This may have been true for your mother, but I have been poor and have had money. I'll take money any day over being poor.

who says you have to buy a new car? Why not one of the millions of used cars in the $2500-500 price tag that run just fine ..... and why not a $85,000 house instead of a $150,000 house ?
