Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default President Doom and Gloom Obama

When do we get to see a more optimistic President? Everyone know what is going on, but I am getting tired of hearing President Doom and Gloom reminding us every day that we are in a crisis. He has even gone as far as saying we may never recover from this. And our country voted him into office? Where is the change he promised. I thought we were supposed to be getting a leader, not a whiner. He needs to pull up his britches and plow through this as a leader.

I like what Former President Clinton said in his interview the other day, "He could say that in the long run we are going to get through this."

But President Doom and Gloom has admitted himself that we may not recover from this. Which tells me he does not have any confidence in himself or our congress and senate to lead our country through one of the roughest times in my lifetime as far as our country is concerned. Then everyone wonders why the Stock Market doesn't respond in a more positive way. I believe the stock market reflects the attitude of our President. "NO CONFIDENCE!!!"

He is no longer the president. Let's talk about the present time and what the CURRENT president is doing. I agree with the OP. IF Obama had a brain, he would be speaking his words a little more carefully. I don't think there is a snowballs chance in ...Deleted by CalHunter... that the stock market will do anything positive as long as the currentpresident continues his "no confidence" ways.

Yeah,
What ever happened to all the "Hope?"

And as far as the stock market goes, the stock market looks to the future. I don't think the stock market finds a lot of Hope in a Dope.

How has it done under dumbsama? What does the market think of the turkey bill? Bush has retired this turkey bill and economy has been the Dems baby since 2006 and sure as hell is now.

I never thought I would see the day that we would have a Dem in office that makes me miss clinton. Either one.[:'(]

cascadedad is right, Obama is talking the market down. So arethose Republicans in the house and senate who are whining to high heaven that the stimulus will not work.

Care to tell us falcon exactly what in the stimulus will work?

I like the thought that most of it won't be spent by the 2010 elections and the Republicans have a real good shot at winning both the House and Senate. Then they can be in the position to cancel the rest of the spending spree. Americans maybe stupid enough to vote on the sound bite of hope and change. However, it smacks reality when you have a president lecturing mayors not to waste the money and he will call them out on it. Then if you read the bill it's total pork to begin with. Add in the fact Obama wants to reward ...Deleted by CalHunter... who can't pay their mortgages and then coming soon higher energy prices because of the myth of CO2 as a polutent.[:@]

Didn't Obama criticize the use of fear tactics? Personally, I think he's doing so to foist his socialistic goals on us. Clearly, the forward looking stock market does not like what he's doing. He inherited a bad situation and is making it worse.
