Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

He says what his people tell him sells. PersonallyI think his people are his undoing. There making him nothing more than a sqeaking wheel. Enjoy your kids or your pets or both as if it was the last time, just might be.

He was talking about the worse case stereos for the future. Things like civil unrest and uprising do to a failing economy. Also the possible consequence of the Mexican government failing and a few other subjects along those lines. I don't care what people think of him. He brings up things that people do not want to think about but probably should. Things like civil war and surviving roving bands of hungry people with no way to live except to take what you have any way they can. He says this is NOT a prediction of things to come, however I have read a lot of writings that do think these things will come about and that everything that has happened in the past will probably happen again. People really should know how to live and survive in a society that has broken down. This was really not political except that he he thinks osama will speed up the nationalization of the banking system and probably the health system.

About 20 years ago, I read a book written by a economist that pretty much saw the end of captalism ending just about where we wre now. I just have long believed that you should hope for the best and be as ready as possible for the worst. Much of his show today dealt with that. Maybe me and cardeer are the only ones that see this as possibe. Maybe I don't read him right either.. I wish to hell I could remember who wrote that book. Whoever it was left quite a impression on me.

This is a scary thought, but it is certainly possible. I think it is highly unlikely, but possible nontheless. This country, one that I am very proud of, is going down the toilet. The president is a moron, as are all the people that support him.

I tend to agree, if for no other reason, gun owners who think, do not vote for anti gun teams like obiden. I would take a list of candidates, go through and cross off the anti gun ones, then go through and cross off the pro abortion ones, then consider the rest on their merit. But, until the democrats as a party, change their stand on both subjects, they have no merit because they have shown this year that they will stand as a party even against the will of the people that elected them. The people of our state were overwhelminley against the big spending bill but all three of our reps voted for it.

The republicans except for the three defectors stood together against the bill just as 60+ percent of the U.S. population wanted them to. Just before the vote on the bill, there was only 37 percent approval of the voters. That is a total disgrace to the voters who think they have a say in what happens. This was true of the first big give away bill last year.

Absolutely it's possible. As long as we have more people who are net consumers than producers, there is a chance theywill eventually bleed this country to death. I've said this before, but Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged is especially relevant today. Funny, I just saw NY Governor Paterson say he wants to jack up taxes on the rich, but can't do it too much or they'll leave the state. In other words, he'd love to tax them to death, but won't only because they would leave.

Here's what David Walker predicts. No one disputes what he says.

The difference? It's self-sufficient.

Arlen Specter was one of the defectors. A shame George Bush helped him so much during his bid for re-election. The party would have been much better off with someone else.
