Unreal. I checked Honda and Yamaha's site and sure enough they've taken off the kid stuff.

I can see the justification though - I remember when my son was under 12 starting off on a Yamaha 80 - it was all you could do to keep him from sucking on the brake pads and chewing on the battery terminals.

I started on a 79 Suzuki RM80, smoked, leaked like crazy, brakes worked sometimes, had to push start it most of the time. But, I don't remember ever trying to lick the brakes...

Guesse my 9 yr old daughters gonna be pissed when she finds out she cant buy parts for her bike[:'(]

Hate to break it to you its not a freedom its a privilege. Plus young kids dont need to be riding those things around any way. 12 is way to young.

Privilege in the way that someone can tell us our kids can't ride, or privilege in the way that you always look to the government for your safety and convenience?

Is 12 too young to hunt? Seems to me there's more of a responsibility factor to hunting, no?

What am I missing here? Batteries violate a new lead prohibition in products intended for kids. Sell them without batteries. Problem solved.

It was apparently signed last Fall. You can't blame this one on the Pelosi administration.
