Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default The greatest liar in American history

Well, he outspent and politically out-maneuvered his opponent and managed to get elected. It was simple really. He simply said what the media and the left was dying to hear. He made statements claiming to be different and non-partisan. He stated that he'd be inclusive and work with those with ideas other than that of the left.

He lied.

If his first few weeks at the controls are indicative of what is to come, we are headed for very serious inflation, extremely high taxes (probably historically high), and an unprecedented amount of debt, and perhaps the longest prolonged recession in American history.

What just transpired is staggering. If you found yourself listening to him and wondering, "What is the big hurry here?" you were not alone. Business is not conducted in such a manner and that was the first sign of the lies.

This nation is obviously numbed by the numbers. Most Americans seem to be incapable of grasping what just happened and I too am stunned that it could ever happen and happen so fast.

There's more, but it all makes me too sick to discuss it much, even here. I was sickened by our foray into Iraq at American expense with so little benefit for America. The Obama power grab truly dwarfs our foolish expenditure in Iraq.

The Credit Crisis and the waste of treasure and blood in Iraq was bad enough. To follow all that with an orgy of pork unlike anything ever conceived in recorded history is beyond stupid, beyond grotesquely partisan, beyond irresponsible and reckless. It is dangerous for our economy, our faith in America, and most of all our national security.

I'm glad Bush is gone. He was a heavy-handed, clumsy dolt. This guy is worse. He is the greatest liar we've ever seen.

The only thing that could makes this worse would be if he were to be held up by the media as some type of genius/Godsend. ...And guess what?

Well said V.C.. You just recapped what many have said, pre-election, as well as post election.

And in respects with the source, proves it was not off the cuff. I"™ve never known you to spout out vitriol without scrutinizing it first.

But folks still want to believe that he is wonderful, and so it is gonna take a long time for the bloom to wear off the lilly in terms of his free pass from the media.

But then again, if the economy turns around on his watch and thingsimprove in Afghanistan, he will lbe hailed as a genius.

Its all about timing though in terms of how a President is subsequently viewed. If Lincoln's presidency had ended in 1862, he would have probably gone down in history as one of the worst Presidents instead of the greatest.

It's a media orgy.

Bama is merely a puppet doing as ordered by bigger powers. You don't see that sort of out-pouring of money without a return on one's investment.

What will make all this worse is when our Constitution falls. The start of that failure is HR45, which will pass. If you attack the 2nd, the rest crumbles quicker than Oreo cookies heading to a peanut butter parfait.

I truly believe that people are so deceived that they will gladly welcome slavery and not even know why.

Dubbya? LOL! He didn't have to lie, because nobody could understand what he was saying half the time, and the other half the time he was making blooper reels.

My money's on Nixon as the all-time biggest liar.

Fact is the people were fed up with the crooks we had in office, this constant sugar coating of the near past is sickening. Obama didn't need republican support, and why would he want their input, more tax cuts for the rich? We have heard it all before and tried it. Proven bad policy won't work now any better than before. We have to try Obama's way now, don't need bad input from failures to taint the meat.

Seems like there are lots of Dems in Congress who had a hand in tainting the economic meat over the last decade or so, but Obama seems to be all ears when dealing with them
