If Republican politicians are so deeply opposed to President Obama's economic recovery plan, they should refuse to take the money. After all, if you think all that federal spending is damaging, there are easy ways to reduce it: Don't take federal money.

Some people are takers and expect everyone else to take care of them, some are not. Think about which one made this country great and which one is currently sucking the life out ofthis country........ Be honest rainman and get a spell checker.
Unfortunately, the leeches and parasites now have control of Congress and the White House. And, they're generally too stupid to recognize that too many leeches and parasites will kill the host. Let's hope the pestilence is eradicated before that happens...

There were several times when I was young that my parents would have qualified for "aid". My dad refused--they wouldn't even sign us up for reduced school meal prices--he preferred to work harder and care for his own. As long as we had food on the table, clothes on our back, and a roof over our heads he refused help. We always had it, and he never accepted any help.
When my son was born near 14 years ago, and when my niece and nephew were born since then, people from WIC didn't let the mom's recover before they were trying to get us to sign up. Didn't matter if we had to "fudge" on the numbers some, they would take care of it. They always left with the strangest look of shock and suprise when my brother and I told them "thanks, but no thanks". They couldn't understand why we felt a responsibility to take care of our families ourselves, rather than put that burden on the gov't. (taxpayers).
Ispc, I say good for you. From reading your posts over the years, I have no problem at all believeing you are the type person who takes care of his own. From reading RIII's posts, I could care less if he believes me or not.
