Default Montana standing against the Feds

SB183-Nutshell: Montana bill eliminates coop b/w fed and state reguarding wildlife, addresses wildlife as property of the people of the state of Montana, and declares Montana's right to address the wolf problem as we see fit, challeges federal authority under the guise of the commerce clause, expected to pass.

HB246: exempts Montana residents from federal regulations reguarding firearm ownership. No back ground checks etc for guns manufactured and sold in the state of Montana, and on accessories and ammunition. House passed this 64-36 w/ 14 democrats joining the yeas. It now goes before the senate, expected to pass.

HB228 Lets Montanans carry concealed weapons in city limits w/o permit, we can already carry outside city limits w/o permit. Passed in the house, now to the senate.

On Saturday the House Judiciary Committee passed a resolution that affirms Montanans' right to carry weapons in Nat'l parks and wildlife refugees.

The battle lines are being draw, seccession is beginning to be whispered about in the streets of Montana. Folks are angry, and perhaps even more dangerous, they are getting scared.

Is there room for another resident in Montana? I love WV but it is awfully close to the stupidity aka Washington, DC...

Way to go montana Can a state actually succeed from the US? Ive heard there are some pretty liberal pockets in montana, and getting worse due to the PNW transplants making their way east.

Which is the more solid conservative stronghold ,Texas or montana?

Actually thats a good question, background checks are one of the few laws I dont really have a problem with, theyre generally fairly fast and painless and keep convicted felons from walking into stores and buying guns outright.

But can't convicted felons get a gun on the street pretty much anytime they want to anyway? Except the dealer doesn't get a profit and the state doesn't get the sales tax.

A lot of sheep voted for Obama, but we didn't
