Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Thanks Geithner

For all that info last night.

Yep, he laid it all out, just like he said. With the astronomical amount of money, I would at least like to know how they came up with these numbers, let alone where the money will come from. How about why its so urgent? What will be the interest? ??? ?????? What should I have expected, he can"™t do his own taxes. So he is either clueless or a crook. I think a bit of both. Great choice Obama.

Burnie, keep praying it all works out, and keep making good choices with your own finances (my advice to everyone).

I said this about Bush's bailout, and I'll say the same about Obama's. If all these loans start paying dividends in the future, and the government makes money, it will be viewed as genius . . . but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to happen.

eto
I hope and pray you are correct. Future implications scares the crap out of me. And the notion of transparency is a joke. My fear is that Obama and crew are doing just like government always does; If it didn"™t work the first time, lets force it to work a second time. We have already lost billions on the first bailout. Billions unaccounted for. How many more billion will just vaporize when these numbers hit the bank.

What scares me the most ids that, one way or another, the economy will turn around. It is like a stream. It will run it's course and someday find the path of least resistance -- there will be some drowning along the way, but it will get better...
but what scares me is that it will get better in spite of Obamas horrible policies, and he will take the credit for it.

Don't worry it's not going to work. At best we will get some doctored up numbers then out of control inflation This trillion or so will just be a start because printing more and more money is all they can do. osama has his foot on the peddle of the printing press and the stupid dems just gave him all the gas he needs to fire off several trillion more dollars. It will work until someone calls his bluff, someone like the people holding our worthless debt.

I've been reading how there is no reason for the Chines to hold dollars. They are in too deep to dump what they have at once, but have no appetite for buying more. So the solution is for the treasury to issue bonds, and the fed to buy them with printed monopoly dollars. If that's not inflationary, I don't know what is. [:@]
