Doug: If you are a successful, self-supporting family man who has been reliably paying his mortgage every month . . . my guess is the answer is NO! You will be enabled by your government, however, to assist others less fortunate (less prudent, less self-disciplined, less self-reliant?) than yourself to pay their mortgages through your tax contributions.

Actually, that's not quite correct. None of this money is coming from anyone's taxes. The entire stimulus is being done on borrowed money. So, no worries, right?

You voted for the clown, not us!

For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do
not understand, no explanation is possible.
A golf course is a willful and deliberate misuse of a perfectly good rifle range.
I voted for Bush too. I wound up getting a Constitution shredding socialist there, so I figured I might as well just vote straight out for one. I haven't lost a minute of sleep over it, either.
With God as my witness, I hope this financial mess destroys BOTH parties.
so if I understand this correctly .... I need to stop paying my full monthly payments and charge up $20,000 in credit card debt, maybe buy a new car ... THEN the govt will give me a better % rate and help me out to repay all the debt ?
so .......... why WOULD I continue to be a good, honest, productive individual in this society ?
my company is laying off 8,000 next months, 14% of our company, then in 3rd quarter we'll all be re badged and with a 1 year contract. then I'll likely lose my job
so ........ Obama supporters, give me your advice on how to attack my situation, because it looks like I need to worsen my financial status and in doing so, the govt under Obama will help me and I'll be better off for doing less in the long run
Exactly. It is this mentality of rewarding bad behavior and not working that makes everyone else want to slink into the same cesspool and grow the program large. Atlas Shrugged is more relevant today than when Ayn Rand wrote it.
