Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Probable $2.5 trillion DEFICIT this fiscal year

And the dems blamed Bush for spending? In 2008, we had about 5 times LESS deficit.Make no mistake, dems love spending, their plan is payback and pork, not stimulus, and they are using the economy as a cover for socialism.

Besides that, they don't mind high taxes because as we are now seeing, they don't pay theirs.

I didn't mind Bush's spending so much. I thought we were doing the right thing in Iraq, until the lies they used to justify the invasion started leaking out. It was his cutting taxes and borrowing money from China for conducting two wars that pisses me off.

LOL, here we go the perfect example of an "independent". Many months ago it was Bush's spending and the deficit, on the other thread it was the deficit, now it's back to the war? Don't like the weather, just hang out five more minutes and the independent's wind will change direction![:-]

Once again hogwash. We've spent less than a trillion in the last 7 years fighting both wars. We spend 120 billion each year to support unwed mothers raising kids. Which one is in the constitution?

+1
Forgive FM his mind is warped. Accountants have put the cost of the Iraq war alone at 3-4 trillion dollars. This includes the lifetime care of all those who were wounded in Iraq. It does not include the interest on the money that was borrowed to fight the Iraq war.

I blame Bush for the war's cost as well, mainly because Iraqi oil should have paid for it as intended from the outset. But many of those soldiers paid to fight would be paid if they were here in the US idle. To count those counts as a cost of the war, which I'm sure they were, is intentionally deceiving. The cost of the war is the marginal cost of having that war versus not having it.

Most importantly, Bush's spending cannot be used to justify an even higher amount of spending, period. Change is more of the same from democrats, ON STEROIDS.
