Did you really take advanced level economics falcon? Some of your posts I must question that claim. You also seem to know a little about the 1930's and yet you still question not putting up trade barriers?
I have to get him thumbs up. He is exactly right to oppose the buy American demands made in this bill. Do you really want to start a trade war costing us billions of dollars in foreign trade, becasue it is a two way street, over a billion or two? Putting this into the bill does nothing more than more DC control over our lives. It grants a privilage to one American while denying that same privilage to another American. Your going to justify that one falcon? Your willing to tell someone who works for a foreign corporation, no your not entitle to compete for your tax dollars the government is spending? Then you tell the rest of America, your money isn't going to stimilate as much as it could because we are going to limit competition and therefore limit who wins and pay more for a perticular service or product.

It's not a stimulus, it's pay back to all the wacko's that helped Obammy getelected. Why don't they take time to see where the package is being spread... anyone that would back this package is an idiot, or in line to recieve funds.

That plays no bearing on this discussion. The fact is, we don't have 100% free trade either. We have plenty of barriers up that deny Americans from buying what they want and goods costing more than they should. Furthermore, we shouldn't care if a foreign government decides to screw their citizens and forces them to pay more for goods.
However, if the Dems insist on keeping this buy American in the law, let's force them to borrow American as well. No more borrowing money from foreign sources. We need to demand American only for borrowing.
