Default The Republicans Still Do Not Get It

Senator Mitch McConnell went before the RNC and rightly toldthem that the party is in danger. Then he got it totally wrong.McConnell says that the the Republican "conservative" message is not getting out to voters.

Well, it is not a "conservative" message, it is amessage" of feel good stuff camouflaged as conservatism. Their messageis getting out to the voters andvoters are not responding. The Republican message needs to be changed and the national party needs to get back to its fiscally conservative roots.

The message that the sheeple want will have to come from someone much more liberal than osama. That leaves little hope for a real conservative. Price osama completely sold the senseless, and it appears that there are a lot of them.

I agree with that. Next it will be a major gun rights scare, and many other touchy feely nerve grabbing stuff, hiding the real agenda. To have 100% no vote on the stimulus, also shows a far greater agenda than is covered as conservatism

wow, coming from the same person who can't explain why over 4 trillion of government "overspending" spending still brought us a recession (btw, government has spent over 20 trillion in the last 8 years) yet another trillion will get us out of the hole!

The problem is in their actions on not voting no on all the pork in the last 8 years and allowing independents to put up an indepepndent candidate, McCain. Primary rules need to be changed in states that allow open primaries. Republicans should elect their candidate and Dems should elect theirs. If independents want to vote in primaries then they should run their own candidates. For the last two elections, much of the core of the party, the conservatives stayed home.

Yep, i can explain how the trillions on overspending got us where we are today. But this isnot theonly factor. 800 billion is not going to get us out of this mess. There we partially agreed on something.

Yep. Nothing at all to be worried about on the 2nd Amendment front. Oh... wait...

Anyone who thinks Obama and the democrats aren't a threat to the 2nd Amendment is a moron.

The party is dead, move on. It could remain on life support for as long as it takes for people to forget and sympathy is exchanged for anger, but that won't be in my life time.

I thought McCain was so wonderful and his VP pick was perfect? Same people who said that said the economy was so good when the country was being raped by big oil. They were sarcastically telling people how sorry they were that gas was costing them so much. Pay day's here. The party that supported the 2 signed it's own termination papers. In a way it's just what we wanted, government eliminating itself.

After the Demos have their chance to screw things up, we might just end up with two different parties. Or hopefully more. Republicans screwed the pooch. It appears the Demos are doing the same thing. So after all this mess, we might just end up with decient candidates in the future.
