Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

You really don't know what your talking about do you? I don't know if you realize this or not, but our country has been running a budget deficit for years, for that matter decades. Bush is being blamed for adding what 4.5 trillion to the debt (eventhough it's congress that did it). Both the Iraq war and Afghan war cost less than a trillion dollars and btw, a major chunk of that money was spent right here at home. You know, we had to buy, ammo, missiles, humvees, tanks.....combat pay. That leaves the other 3.5 trillion. Where was that money spent? I'll give you three guesses, do you need all three? Right here at home in the good ol USA. So here is the trillion dollar question, if spending 4 trillion here at home in the last8 years of money that was really already in the economy only it got washed by the US Government with them taking a cut andwe still find ourselves in a recession. Please explain to me why spending another trillion will get us out?

There has certainly been no shortage of spending here at home. Wake the hell up.

Well, If what you say is correct, wich it is not, then the idealoligy that war boost economy is false. The Iraq war did not boost the economy. The money spent the last 8 years was directed to special interest and political lacing by a Republican president and republican congress. Obama was forced to do something instant, thanks to what the Republicans have done. The money, if strategicly placed, will help the economy instantly. Obama and a now Dem congress can then start the slow process of changing Reaganomics and trickle down theory, and lead our country in the correct direction, with hopefully more regulation to stop the crime and greed or slow it. The Republicans have proven once again that they don't have a plan or care about the country, by not voting for this stimulus.

The true cost of the Iraq war will not be evident until 60-70 years have passed. It is estimated that the cost to care forthose militarypersonnel wounded and diseased in the war zone will eventually reach 3.5 trillion dollars in todays money.
