Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

If we raise taxes on the people who employ others, that will probably fix it, I guess.

You won't anytime soon. When you choose to burden companies that are already in trouble with new and tougher regulations, they will do worst. FYI, look at what Obama is doing to the auto industry.

When you allow one person to pick and choose which industry get's help with money and tax cuts in bad economic times, nothing will change. Only the market can make those choices. Tax cuts are needed across the board for companies and capital gains. Government spending has never worked. Study what FDR did and if that's not enough study all the government spending ***an did only to find them in a slump for over a decade. We the people decide what is hot and worth spending our money on.

osama is truly lost. He has no clue as what to do now. He has never run anything. He could really screw thing up while he is practicing for his first real job. I hope he lostens to some real financial experts before he starts throwing darts at the map. He never impressed me with any solid idea's just saying we will change doesn't help anyone.

Obama is not the only one that is totally lost. The Democrat congress is lost. The Republican minority in congress is lost;they are reduced to whining about the Democrats and Obama. The Republican congress was wandering in the wilderness for years. Bush was lost for much of his term in the white house. The fact is that none of the politcal hacks in DC give a tinkers damn about what happens in their districts. They are in the pockets of the special interest groups and that is all they care about.

The overwhelming attitude of the DC political pukes is this:Who needs an economy when you can get all that cheap crap from China?Besides we have Oprah, NASCAR and football to keep us occupied.

My group is being cut 26%- there are 30 guys in my region, 2 other guys in my market area. Will I have a job? I do not know.

Obama .... not unlike GW being blindsided by 9-11, he is getting hammered here. Obviously he doesn't know what to do, hopefully he'll surround himself with those who might. this is quickly turning into HIS economy and HIS"war" in Iraq, HIS everything

But thank goodness he took care of taxpayer dollars going to overseas abortions right off the bat - THAT was mission critical I guess [:@]

How do you figure? All the Harvard educated "lawyer" had to do was open his eyes and he would have seen exactly what he was getting into. It wasn't like he was yanked aside one day and told the economy had been attacked.

He asked for it, he got it. There was no "blindsiding".

I meant the 71,000 jobs being announced cut on Monday - I didn't see a 26% layoff in my group for damn sure, and I didn't see a 14% total company layoff either. I knew cuts would be made .... we lost all 401K contributions, no raises again this year, decrease in medical benefits, 14% total employee cut and 26% cuts in my group .... no one expected that.

Obama very likely didn't expect it either - nobody really did, just like everyone knew a terrorism attack would come again to US soil, no one fathomed 9-11 though
