Default Eric Holder's Firm Represents 17 Gitmo Guests

Pay attention to Eric Holder"™s law firm and Gitmo detainees

Holder is pond scum. Prediction: Most of the Republicans in the senate will vote for his confirmation, just like they did for Hillary. [:@]

That sounds like a conflict of interest. I realize any candidate is going to have an opinion or have made previous statements about Gitmo but I think it's less than wise to nominate a person whose law firm actually represents 17 of the detainees. I'm sure Obama and his transition team can find some other qualified democratic candidate who doesn't come with such a direct conflict of interest connection.

Cal, did you type that with a straight face?[8D]

Seems that BHO's top legal councell (Greg Craig) represented Fidell Castro at one time. I'm sure BHO never knew about that though--just like he didn't know about Wright, Ayers, Rezko.......I bet he didn't know that about 'ol Rhambo either.

Actually I did. I know that anybody Obama nominates will have some opinion that is probably against Gitmo. In this case, however, I think that a guy whose firm represents terrorists is NOT the guy who be the AG.

I really thought you were joking. It's no secret that the Sec. of State will be dealing directly with a lot of big donars to Clinton, Inc.--didn't slow down Hillary's appointment and confirmation. I can't see this little blurb slowing Holder down anymore than it did Hillary.

I think you're correct in that it won't make any difference to Obama or to congress but it should. []
