This scumbag was released by Bushwho succumbed to pressure fromthe Saudi royals. Yep, the US was attacked by Saudis on 911. Makes perfect sense to release Saudi terrorists. Oil talks.
Accordingto Michelle Malkinthe US released 77 " detainees" to the Saudis as of July, 2007.
Earlier this month, the US released 16 Saudis from Guantanamo Bay. A total of 77 Saudis have been freed from detention. If you shared my "śUh-oh"ť reaction, then you will not be surprised by this latest report in The Age (via Andrew Bolt) about freed Gitmo detainees taking up arms and resuming jihad. According to the paper, at least 30 former Guantanamo Bay detainees have been killed or recaptured after taking up arms against allied forces following their release. A Defense Department spokesman told the newspaper that most of the catch-and-release beneficiaries have been discovered in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
CAIRO, Egypt "“ An Internet posting purportedly by al-Qaida in Yemen says the group's No. 2 is a Saudi national who is a former Guantanamo detainee.
The Yemeni group "” known as "al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula" "” posted the statement this week on a militant Web site that regularly carries al-Qaida messages.
It says the man returned to his home in Saudi Arabia after his release from the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba about a year ago and from there went to Yemen to join the terror group.
The Internet statement identified the man as Said Ali al-Shihri and says his prisoner number at Guantanamo was 372.
Yes, those darn Saudis pressured Bush to release those folks. I only wish Bush listened to those folks on the left and people like yourself, to keep all of these folks locked up safely stashed away in the paradise location of Gitmo Bay.[:@]

No it's you who doesn't get it. Your with the leftist out there who are demanding gitmo to close but offer no answers on what to do with these folks. You can't explain why one 10 x 10 cell somewhere else is any better then the one in gitmo. You claim Bush should procescute these guys but fail to offer anything you could procescute them for. Exactly what would you have charged this guy for? What evidence do you have? They were captured on the battlefield in a war still going on. They are prisoners and should remain prisoners locked up in gitmo. Congrats are in order. You got your wish yesterday and gitmo is to close in 1 year with all prisoners to be set free in due time.

Actually, some of the details of the executive order indicate that the prisonerss will not be treated much differently than under Bush. The only difference is that it will be someplace besides Guantanamo which Obama has pretty much admitted is just a symbol of the perceived abuses of Bush, but for which they do not have a realistic alternative.

Yep, more evidence lanse the Obama doesn't have a clue in what he is doing. His press confrence proved that fact when he had to refer to Craig on what the heck he was signing and then admitted he didn't know what they were going to do with those still locked up. Rush was so right when he said months ago Obama doesn't want to be president he wants to do president.

Could care less what they do with them. Bush turned over 400 of the "detainees" loose and you did not say one darnthing about it: More of your rampant hopocrisy. Now you and the other neo-con artists are having a fit that another hundred or so might be turned loose. BTW: Our boy McCain praised Obama for his decision to close Gitmo.

Who is Rush? Oh, how dumb of me to forget. Rush is that fat chickenhawk slob who dodged the draft due to a boil on his butt.
