Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default taxes

i have heard gun and ammo sales are up 70% around the nation. my father in law ownes a gun shop and is having trouble getting in new inventory because dealers are selling out so fast. he has told me the new administration wants to put a 500% sales tax increase on ammo and 250% tax on guns, i heard the same thing from another guy at a car dealership yesterday. anyone else know anything about this???

edit: i have also heard something about a ban on all center fire ammo

Default RE: taxes

Both have been proposed as gun control measures, along with several other draconian schemes. Few if any of them are likely to fly since the people who are proposing them need the supoport of their fellow members of Congress, most of whom are up for reelection next year. The last time the libbies took a negative stance on guns it cost them both the White House and Congress, they apparently learned from the experience since they took a neutral stance on them durig this campaign.

The best thing we all can do to combat this lunacy is to join orgs such as the NRA and GOA and recruit others to do the same. Considering the sudden sheer rise in gun and ammo sales this shouldn't take much persuading to acomplish. For my own part I plan to get memberships in theGun Owners of America for my 3 oldest grandkids, it costs less than an NRA membership, and they all have a gun.

Your turn.
