Just wanted to wish everyone a happy MLK Day. I, for one plan to enjoy mine. Pleasereiterate toyour kids and those around youthe importance of treating everyone with love, integrity, and respect. If nothing else Dr. King epitomized these sentiments. Let us all take a moment to reflect on the contributions that this Great Man of God made to this country. Perhaps it's more sentimental considering its the day before the President-elect Obamas inauguration. Don't know why but I'm feeling kinda---well, proud. Our first African American President--Dr. Kings Day--We as a nation have come a long way.Can you feel the excitement in the air? I sure can.I know Dr. King would be proud. And again, you all enjoy your day.

And from now on, I would hope we can begin to hear the winding down of the whining about how black people don't have the opportunities that whites have.
And no I don't care if that "sounds" racist. Why? I'll tell you why...We've now proven conclusively that ANYONE in America can be ANYTHING if they work hard enough. King's wishes and dreams have been realized big time.
So...can we stop with the incessant whining that we hear in the music and on our campuses, on TV, in sitcoms and movies, on the news, and God knows how many other venues?
Can we move on now, please? When is enough enough?
Who really cares? Today is just another day to me, same with tomorrow. I thought skin color isn't suppose to make a difference anyway?...

Its the celebration of a great man who devoted his life to equality for all. Regardless of skin color. There was a time when it was all about skin color. BecauseMLK did what he did, we are now to the point that things should not be about skin color.
