There isn't much information but I did run across something on the Fox News site. A police Sgt. Harris mentions that he has "
dealt with the family for years and as far as the children are concerned I have never had any reports of abuse with the children." It also mentions that the father, but not the mother, is expected in court.
I'vebecome awarethat police don't seem to understand or know much about child abuse law.
The comment by Sgt. Harris and the fact that the father is expected in court is a hint to me that domestic violence is involved. I've learned from my husband, although most people are not aware of this, that children will usually be removed from a home in cases of domestic violence. The children will usually be returned to the mother if she agrees to stay away from the husband, who is usually the perpetrator, and the husband agrees to get counseling, especially anger management classes. The father is allowed back if he shows that he has developed an attitude change.
I'm going to think that this is the explanation. I wouldn't know all this if not for my husband passing along some information.
