Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default I was thinking this morning

We get on other nations and call or UN observers at their elections, because of voter fraud and the outcomes being fixed, and we really aren't doing avery good job running our own lately.

The difference here is that we have a system to deal withand somewhat negate fraud. In a lot of places overseas, winner takes all.

They sure needed a UN Rep in Minnesota where a election was outright stolen. That was a total breakdown for democracy.

What system is that, Aught?

How many people that are dead or poling places have recorded more voters then were registered?

Those folks were winners and took office right?

Amen, you can thank Al Gore for all of this. We no longer live by the laws set before elections. Al's fight was all about changing the rules after the game had been played and it thankfully failed. However, enough of the foundation has cracked to allow Franklin to shatter any rules of the game if you loose. I'm praying the Mn court system right's this wrong but I won't hold my breath.

We have the most effective system of governmental checks and balances in the history of civilization. Unlike many other countries, here we can indentify problems and sort them out in the courts. And even if someone does illegitimately get elected, he/she will be up for consideration in another few years.

The UN needs to respect US sovereignty and stay the hell away from our elections...

I'm not saying the UN should interfere with our elections, I'm saying we want the UN to intervene in other countries elections for the same stuff that happens here.

Honestly I would like to see us out of the UN, but that's another thread.

I'd like to see us bend the UN to our will in order to protect our national interests. Kind of hard to do from the outside.

The US is still the world hegemon, at least for a little while longer. Let's not go stomping off the playground just yet.

Insanity is happening in Minnesota. They've got counties with more votes than registered voters. Every decision that's been made regarding any controversy has gone in favor of Franken. No one can look at that situation objectively and say that it's been fair. No one. They've got a corrupt scum Democrat Secretary of State rigging the election in order to insert a complete half-wit Democrat into the Senate. The Justice Department should be looking at what is happening there, but, there's not enough time for the Bush Justice Department to do anything, and you can bet that an Obama Justice Department will look at it and say "Looks fair to me. Just like the way we ran things in Chicago."

Ipsy has it right. It is the Democrats who are opposed to showing identification at the polls. It is the Democrats who routinely lie, cheat and steal to get their candidates elected. Nearly every time there is a close raceit is the Republican who loses. Ashcroft was up for re-election from MO in 2000. A federaljudge ruled thatthe polls in St. Louis would be allowed to stay open to accomodate the bus loads of voters that the Democrats hauled in.The polls in St. Louis closed hours later than the rest of the state and Ashcroft was history.

Jimmy Carter is a dedicate overseas poll watcher. Every whereCarter goes the socialists or the communists win.
